By the Lord’s grace, Dr. Lucas Butler has served the church in vocational ministry for over 30 years in Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia. He is a graduate of Union University (Jackson, TN) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY). He became the Pastor at Echota in May 2019. In addition, he has taught adjunctly at Shorter University for the past 15 years as well as served alongside numerous mission teams in Canada, Brazil, and Africa.

 

He and his wife, Laura, have been married for over 27 years and have been blessed with three sons: Caleb, Joshua, and Elijah. As a family, they enjoy baseball, college football, and trips to the beach. In his free time, Lucas likes reading theology and scuba diving.

 

As a disciple of Christ, he encourages other believers to live “on mission” and realize the gospel goes where they go.
